What to expect...


Welcome to DPChurch!

We're glad you're here as we've come to celebrate Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. If you are new to Jesus and Christianity, we invite you to sit back, relax and get your feet wet, testing the waters.

This is a safe place. We won't embarrass you or single you out.
Ask any questions and let us know if there is something in your life that we can pray for. This is also a very casual place. Our pastor preaches in jeans and flip flops. So, whether you like jeans, khakis or suits, you'll be comfortable at DPChurch.

We know it's not easy visiting a new church; you go to a strange new building and meet strange new people who have strange new ways of doing church. Sometimes the whole experience can be overwhelming. We know. We've been there. That's why we do things the way we do.

Dardenne Prairie Church is simply about Celebrating God, Connecting to others and Contributing to our world.

Each weekend worship experience is about an hour and a half and includes worship music, relevant biblical teaching and the celebration of the Lord's Supper. Our Teaching Pastor Phil Gold provides transformational messages that are practical and apply to your everyday life. During the message we provide a Children's Church for kids up through 5th grade and a staffed nursery is available throughout the assembly.

Communion

Communion, The Lord's Supper, is open to all believers who have gathered with us to honor Jesus. We celebrate the Lord's Supper each Sunday. This is talked about with more detail in the Newcomers/Become Class.

Offering

"Giving Back to God" is how you'll see this referred to in our Assembly. This is an act of worship we are called by God to do each week. This is an act of worship for believers. Guests are encouraged not to give. These funds are used to promote Jesus in this Community and the World.

Singing
We sing congregationally, for the most part. Occasionally, we have special music to build up one another and as reflective worship to God. Songs are chosen to help people respond to Christ and to reinforce the theme of the event.

Becoming A Christian

We believe that it is by grace that we are saved, through our response of faith, believing that Jesus is the Son of God, that He died to take the penalty of our sins on Himself, and that He was raised from the dead on the third day by the power of God. Every person capable of faith is called by God to make a public confession of faith that Jesus is Lord, and be joined to Christ and His church by receiving baptism, (immersion), in His name. Having made this response of faith, all sin is forgiven and we receive the gift of God's Holy Spirit to live in us and to empower us to live for Jesus. All those who come to faith in Him may request baptism at any time.

Becoming A Member At Dardenne Prairie Church

This class presents the purpose, strategy, and core values of our church. It is designed to help you understand what it means to be a member at Dardenne Prairie Church and to help you feel a part of our church family. You may request baptism or seek prayers on your behalf by going to the back during the time of response or by contacting a Shepherd, a Minister, or any member of this congregation at any time.
